I’m Greg Garstecki, the founder and principal consultant for Garstecki Modeling Solutions, LLC, a Systems Engineering consulting firm.  My current focus is on helping companies improve their Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) capability.  

 

Before starting my own company, I had worked for over 35 years in the field of modeling and simulation.  Initially, I performed durability and damage tolerance analysis for military jet engines. More recently, my focus on structural and dynamic modeling resulted in numerous cost, quality, and performance improvements for consumer appliances.  This work also resulted in 7 patents.  For the last 12 years I have focused on MBSE.  During this time I developed a global laundry architecture system that met requirements in multiple sales regions.  

 

I also have experience in leading a small team in implementing the MBSE strategy into an existing product development process.  My successful change management efforts led to multiple appliance product categories implementing a MBSE strategy. I also have experience in transitioning a company’s CAE group from a services organization to one that is part of the verification process.  

 

I have a broad field of expertise that includes systems engineering, structural and dynamics design/simulation, system performance modeling, design of experiments/six sigma, and new product design and development.
